I stopped at a flea market this weekend in Pa. and there was a table with blue fish stuff. This woman had worked for BF and was selling scraps, patches, curtains, and a few clothes from 1994. I bought all of it.
I am an avid flea marketer and this was the very first time I had found a piece of Bf at a flea market !

Thanks to julies.mail I joined this awesome community today...thank you Julie! And what a home-coming it is! I live in the UK and have been a Fisher woman for approximately 10 years. I managed to visit 3 BF stores in the US between '94 and '98 (NJ, NY and NM). However, the Fisher-women I've started buying from on eBay since November of last year (you know who you are!) are the first people I've met in years who "get it"! Imagine the emotional desert I've just come crawling out...

I am sure that every one has a cute tale of Blue Fish Lore. Her is mine. Has anyone seen the Cat toy called the Cat Charmer. It is a long piece of Polar Fleece that is tyed to a pole so you can drag it around and swirl it and it makes the cats go crazy chasing it. I found out that you can get the same effect when you tye several rippies together and try to use them for a headband. Every time I do this my cat goes nuts and chases me around the apartment until I get them in my hair. How...

Hi Everyone!

I tried to post this story from Las Cruces, New Mexico, where we were last week. I was in a teeny cafe in Old Mesilla (the old Mexican style square which borders upon Las Cruces. They have a computer for the customers to use (does that make it a cybercafe?)and I was eager to tell you all this story which had just happened that morning. But I thought I was really having a senior AND menopausal moment when it seemed that I couldn't remember my user name so the story went...

I had to share this with you all today. After finding Bluefish last fall and wearing my only piece all winter I found your wonderful site and have been adding to my collection. Well, today for the first time I felt I had a real outfit to wear. I got a wonderful gypsy dress from Joanne and paired it cream leggings, stretchy sandals and all the silver jewelry I could get on my arms. Now it wasn't a perfect outfit, but I felt GREAT. For the first time in years I went out in public feeling young,...

I'll try to make this short and sweet. All my life I've loved clothes, but was always a "let's head for the sale rack" sort of person. I guess I thought that perhaps I didn't deserve to buy what I wanted, but instead I should buy what I could afford. So I purchased a lot of things I really liked, but few things I really loved.

Then, of course, like many of us, I got married and had children and I gave myself less time and attention, and directed any energy I had for shopping...
